After a surprising week of sunshine last week, winter has finally made its presence felt. The last few days have been dark, cold, wet and windy. Thankfully we missed the storms that wreaked havoc in other parts of the state and will go into this long weekend with restrictions eased and little to no rain forecast.
It’s business as usual for us, subject to mandatory QR code check ins at opens and auctions but unfortunately we still have a ban on Melbourne buyers who are restricted to a 25km radius from their homes.
The Geelong market is still strong with limited supply increasing buyer competition, which is why winter is such a great time to sell. The traditional spring selling season brings more properties to the market, so getting on the front foot and listing your home for sale in winter is a great strategy to maximise the sale price by keeping ahead of the pack.
If you are thinking of selling our team would be pleased to help you with advice and an estimate of value.
Enjoy your long weekend!
Until next week,
Nick Lord (Director)
