Spring has finally arrived and we can start looking forward to milder weather and more hours of daylight, which are two of the reasons why spring has traditionally been the best time to sell. Buyers are more inclined to be out and about, gardens are beginning to bloom and the longer days can facilitate mid week open houses to fully maximise buyer exposure.
Another reason to sell in spring is the desire to be settled in a new home prior to the end of the school year and in readiness for the summer holidays. So many service industries are closed for extended periods over the summer break so a September sale makes sense to avoid potential hassle at the height of summer.
