Selling your home can be a stressful business, but that stress can be reduced or avoided entirely if you pick the right agent to guide you through the selling process.
The right agent will have a history of strong results in your area with an established, well respected company and an experienced support team. Local expert knowledge of your area is a must, including a deep understanding of the market, familiarity with all recent sales and listing in the area, together with a broader knowledge of the amenities and strong points in the immediate vicinity. Remember, the agent is not just selling your home, but also selling the location to a potential buyer.
It’s a good idea to attend some opens and auctions and see the agent in action selling other properties. Actions speak louder than words! Ask a lot of questions until you are completely comfortable with the whole sale process and have trust that the agent has your best interest first and foremost.
Don’t always go for the cheapest agent. If they don’t place a high value on their services, why should you?
