It’s been an extraordinary couple of weeks for our sales team, as buyers come out in force to secure their first home, next home or investment property prior to the New Year.
Our team has negotiated 13 sales in the last 10 days, 4 of which had been on the market for less than a week. Based on past experience, we expect this demand to continue throughout December; in fact it’s not unusual for our team to be fielding enquiries on Christmas eve and negotiating sales into Christmas day, as buyers take the opportunity of a work break to ramp up activity.
It’s a great sign for the Geelong market in 2024 which we expect to resume its normal rate of capital growth, after experiencing a pause this year due to interest rate rises and some post Covid adjustment.
