In great news for the Geelong market and for sellers in particular, we are now able to conduct open houses in the traditional sense. This means there is no need for buyers to ring ahead to make an appointment; they can simply turn up at the advertised time and subject to density limits and QR code requirements we can now welcome multiple groups into our sale properties at the same time. This will cut the inconvenience of back to back appointments and allow buyers the flexibility to inspect on the spur of the moment without having to form a queue down the footpath out the front.
In even better news Melbourne buyers are now free to visit the regions from tonight and we expect a big influx over the weekend inspecting properties. In recent years, Melbourne buyers have comprised a steadily growing percentage of buyers in Geelong and now they no longer have to rely on virtual inspections, video tours and friends inspecting on their behalf. This will restore full buyer confidence and in turn widen the market (and the competition) for sale properties.
Enjoy your weekend, particularly if you have plans to catch up with your Melbourne friends and relatives.
Until next week,
Nick Lord (Director)
