More Restrictions Eased

In a boost for Victorians and in particular the real estate and tourism industries, the state government announced last Sunday a further easing of restrictions which will come into effect on the 1st June.

This is great news for real estate which will then allow a maximum of 20 people through our open homes and at auctions, whilst still being mindful of social distancing and the need to note names of all attendees.  We are now very close to resuming normal business activity, which can only increase confidence in the market and Victorians ought to be congratulated for so comprehensively flattening the curve.

For so many who have had to cancel their travel plans, a relaxing of regional travel restrictions is very welcome, particularly as it coincides with the Queen’s birthday long weekend next week.  It will provide a much needed boost to tourism operators and regions which rely heavily on the tourist dollar.

And finally, a shout out to all the parents having to home school their children who will soon have some much needed relief, with selected year levels back in the classroom already and the rest to follow on 9th June.

Stay safe and enjoy your weekend.
