Our sale results over the past 2 weeks show that there is still strong demand for property in the Geelong region, however buyers are taking more time, doing more research and often shopping for finance deals after (rather than before) finding a property to purchase. So whilst the red hot demand and ‘fear of missing out’ mentality has eased, there are still buyers in the market. There may be less people attending open houses but we are seeing that those who are braving the cold every weekend with a list of properties to see are serious buyers wanting to purchase now.
As we head into spring we are confident that more buyers will enter the market and the pause the market has experienced over the last few months will transition to a normal period of growth (as historically it always has).
