A spike in Covid cases over the past 2 weeks in Melbourne serves as a timely reminder that the social distancing practices currently in place for all open homes and auctions are still very important for the purposes of containment and contact tracing.
The limit on attendees at both opens and auctions is capped at 20 and all attendees must provide their name and contact information upon entry. This requirement extends to restaurants and service industries where people are indoors for extended periods and is
not just a requirement for real estate.
We are now required to seek registration prior to auctions, so if you want to attend an auction it is prudent to ring the agent in the week leading up to the auction to register your attendance. It’s important to secure your spot, particularly if you intend to bid.
There are still some challenges ahead but I think we are over the worst of it and whilst Geelong remains largely Covid free, the Geelong market will to continue its upward trend as we head into what we expect to be a strong spring selling period.
Have a great weekend.
Until next week,
